I have always been opposed to using Twitter. I used to see Twitter as another Facebook or something that would take up my time and social life. I am happy to announce that I am now the proud owner of a professional Twitter account! I use Twitter with my 5th grade students and it’s been so powerful! I have used it to Tweet to authors and sports figures. Twitter offers a way for me to share projects and pictures with parents.

I have assigned 2 students a week as our “Twitter Bugs”. These students track possible Tweets throughout the week in a special notebook and on Fridays we post the best Tweet ideas. My kids love it and get to excited when someone Tweets us or likes one of our Tweets!
